Tournament of Hope 2020 cancelled

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is with great regret that the Independent Living Centre of Waterloo Region has decided to cancel The Tournament of Hope Golf Classic, originally rescheduled for June 2020 and then rescheduled for September 2020. While this decision was not made lightly, ILCWR feels it is necessary in order to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

These unfortunate circumstances have strengthened our resolve to make next year’s tournament the biggest one yet. Please save the date for next year's tournament on June 9, 2021 at Grand Valley Golf and Country Club.

The funds raised throughout the history of this tournament have truly made a difference to residents of Waterloo Region. The money raised at the Tournament of Hope directly support the Access Fund, a program that helps individuals with disabilities to purchase necessary assistive devices and medical equipment to improve their quality of life. Together, with the generous help of our volunteers, participants and donors, the tournament has helped over 265 people purchase equipment, raising more than $570,000.

Don’t want to wait until 2021 to help? We welcome any donation you are able to make to the Access Fund, and you will receive a charitable receipt. Your generous support will directly go towards helping individuals living with disabilities purchase equipment. Visit our Donate Page to learn more. Please be sure to note that your donation is for the Tournament of Hope or Access Fund.

We look forward to seeing everyone on the green on June 9, 2021!
